-
Is responsible for designing and validating aerodynamic devices: the body, front wing, and rear wing. Projects consist of mold manufacturing and composite layups.
-
(Cockpit, Controls, Safety, and Brakes) Is responsible for everything the driver touches: steering wheel, seat, driver harness, dashboard, and driver gear. CCSB also ensures that the driver is comfortable in the cockpit.
-
Is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels, ensuring that the car can accelerate, and maintain speed. This includes the design, validation, and manufacturing of wheel hubs, the rear differential housing, and uprights.
-
Is responsible for the car’s electrical systems. This includes the ECU, wire harness, safety systems, and data acquisition. They work closely with other sub-teams to ensure that the electrical components are integrated correctly.
SUB-TEAMS
-
Is responsible for designing and validating the chassis/frame. The frame is the skeleton of the car, determining strength and overall car integration.
-
Is responsible for the teams community outreach to sponsors, and are responsible for creating the Business Presentation. They also focus on social media, merch, and livery design.
-
Is responsible for implementing the engine, intake, cooling, and fuel system. These components focus on maximizing power output and vehicle top speed.
-
Is responsible for vehicle handling and dynamics. They determine the tires, springs, dampers, and all components that connect the wheels to the frame.
